OMGHA will once again offer Preseason Development Camps for travel hockey players in support of our community-based model. These camps will help kick off the 2023-2024 hockey season.  The goal of this program will be focused on getting back to association hockey and getting back to great hockey-specific training run by our skills team.  The training will be age-appropriate and ability based to allow for building hockey confidence.

The camp session size goal is around 30 players per ice session.  This will give players a balanced amount of puck touches and reps.  Each session will focus on training associated with fundamental hockey habits. The trainers will create drills that allow the players to learn these skills in a game-like environment which improves hockey awareness and fosters a deeper passion for the game.

This program will be ten 1-hour sessions two of which will be power skating-focused and not include pucks. Groups are intended to balance current registration numbers and the previous OMGHA season level played. Names are posted into groups throughout the registration process. Once registration opens in early August, keep checking this page for updates as some group assignments and schedule updates will be necessary.

GOALIES
By registering for Preseason Development Camp and paying your $100 you get 10 sessions with the skaters who have registered for your level. This is not goalie-specific training but rather a chance to get plenty of shots with friends playing at your level.  Goalie-specific training is described on the OMGHA goalie page. Your name is posted in the below groups.

Review roster to find your players assignment with the preseason camp.  Contact Matt Margenau (mdmargenau@gmail.com) with questions.  Additional players will be added as more players register for the camp.
